Luiza de Mello Stefano

Luiza de Mello Stefano holds a PhD from the Graduate Program in Communication at the Fluminense Federal University (UFF), a master’s degree in Communication from PPGCOM/UFJF (2019) and a journalism degree from the Federal University of Juiz de Fora (2015).

She developed her dissertation on the appropriation of meme language by traditional Brazilian television, with additional interests in fan culture, television, reality shows and digital culture. She is a researcher associated with the groups TeleVisões (UFF) and coLAB (UFF).
