Professor, PhD (Cultural and Media Studies, UFF)
Viktor Chagas is an associate professor in the Department of Cultural and Media Studies and a researcher in the Graduate Program in Communication at the Fluminense Federal University (PPGCOM-UFF). He is an associate member of the National Institute of Science and Technology in Digital Democracy (INCT.DD), a CNPq Research Productivity fellow — Level C, and a Faperj “Young Scientist of Our State” fellow.
He holds a PhD in History, Politics and Cultural Assets from Cpdoc-FGV and is dedicated to investigations at the interface between the Internet and Political Cultures, Political Economy of Information, and Journalism and Politics. He is the leader of the coLAB/UFF research group and coordinator of the #MUSEUdeMEMES outreach project, and has also served as executive secretary of Compolítica (2019–2021) and editor of Revista Compolítica (2011–2021).
